Children’s Action Network (CAN) uses the power of the entertainment community to increase awareness about children’s issues and to make them a top priority in everyday life.

CAN is currently dedicated to finding homes for the more than 107,000 children in the United States who are waiting for an adoptive
family and improving outcomes for the more
than 500,000 children in
foster care.

'Winter Wonderful'
children's benefit

Children's Action Network is proud to announce that Executive Director Jennifer Perry was presented with the Nancy Daly Advocacy Award at the Lewis Hine Awards for Service to Children and Youth by the National Child Labor Committee (NCLC) on Monday, January 28th in New York. Named for the acclaimed NCLC photographer who documented early-20th century exploitation of children, the Lewis Hine Awards honor those individuals who, as professionals or volunteers, give of themselves and go the extra mile for the well-being of young people. The Nancy Daly Advocacy Award memorializes the late Los Angeles activist and philanthropist Nancy Daly whose continuous efforts over many years provided support and opportunity for thousands of young people.

SantaCAN

SantaCAN is a unique gift drive for Los Angeles foster youth that helps to ensure that this is a wonderful time for these children by making sure they each receive their most wished for gift from a wish list they compiled.

SantaCAN began as a small annual holiday party for at-risk youth twelve years ago and has grown into an online event that last year granted holiday wishes for more than 1,000 children in foster care in Los Angeles County

Children's Action Network presents
stories of foster children waiting for adoptive families.

These films, part of a series called "Change a Child's Life" feature Los Angeles area foster children telling their own stories in their own words.
There are more than 107,000 foster children in the United States who need a place to call home.  It is our hope that by raising awareness about the youth and sharing their hopes and dreams we can help them find permanent loving families.
